Wow, it has been forever since i've written...but that is obvious. Today is the first official day of my summer=) Though i've been done with my last final since Thursday, today is the first official day because I feel like I should be in school and I'm not=) Tehe.

This is the first time I've written on this blog as a college graduate=) This past Saturday, May 7th, 2011 I graduated from Volunteer State Community College with my Associates of Science Degree=) aka I'M HALFWAY DONE WITH COLLEGE=)=)=)

This August 27th I will start at my new school, Austin Peay State University and will be majoring in Computer Science with a double minor in Business and Music....ahhhhhhhhhh music=)=) I'm sooooo excited about Orchestra and my violin lessons! I'm even excited about my theory and aural music classes!

Levi and I are very happy to be together<3

Only one more final and then Christmas=) I think I already feel like i'm on break though...I was such a big stress ball...feels good to just chill!
Finally got my Christmas tree up...on this 15th day of December...lol yes I know it's late...but better late than never?
So many exciting events coming up! I simply love the Christmas season=) Parties, friends, food, <3=)

But I think i'm the most excited about going to see Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader with my friends this weekend=) (providing they all can go!)

Life has been so hectic and insane lately...I don't think it will ever "calm down" again...because it is simply life! It's meant to be crazy! lol...busy I can handle...stressful...not so much=(

Due to popular request (by 1 person) I am posting=) There isn't much to write that hasn't been on facebook...but then again some of you aren't on there...what is foremost on my mind is to tell you that i am typing with 9 fingers instead of 10...lol my left pinky finger is in a splint due to a pulled muscle/jammed accident during 3 hours of dishwashing last nite..lol

Christmas is in 21 days! 3 weeks from today=) If i can survive this week and next week of finals then i can enjoy my break=)

Highlights of my break will be 1)not going to school! 2) sleeping more! 3) going to loads of Christmas parties 4)Going to see Voyage of the Dawn Treader with my family and peeps=) 5)sleeping some more=) 6) Feasting Christmas day (because Christmas time is no time to diet! 7)GOING TO GATLINBURG=)=) 8) sleeping even more!!!!! I'm sure there will be much more...but those are just a few.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, IT'S HERE!!!! Finally=)
Fall Break.
ahhh just love the sound of those two words...fall break..*Shivers* ohhhh=)

For the second time since school started I SLEPT IN=) Yes, I didn't get up until 10am this morning.
(note: the first time was two weeks ago when i ditched karate to sleep=)

Though I don't have classes today (or tomorrow, or wednesday=), I do have plenty of studying to do...mainly for a Economics Mid-Term on Thursday...if anything that stupid class will be what costs me my 4.0=(

BUT in spite of studying and educational activities, I will have fun. Today i am going on a "field trip" to the Frist Art Center in Nashville. I am required to visit it during the semester and write a paper on "my experience". lol Yes, that sounds SO BORING! So, I am taking my cousin, Tori, and my bestie, Kailyn, with me! (*sniffs* totally bummed out that my Lizabee can't come=(=( And, what outing is complete with out eating out!? Demos'! Boo yah!

yes, i have decided to be happy and have fun my fall break...(again...lovin' those two words=)
Even though i've managed to plan something academically related all three days...lol

So I haven't really posted a whole lot about me lately and what's been going on in life...probably because most of the people who read this I see often.

Obviously, the thing that is consuming my life currently is SCHOOL...ick. Although I hate it, it has gotten a little bit better. (I find it's easier to drag myself to school every morning now that I've made a few friends). I can't believe the semester is half over, but the bad news is that means I still have half way to go=(

Economics is the death class. I dread 9:35am to 11:00am every Tuesday and Thursday. But YAY for FALL BREAK! Starts Monday=) and I get Tuesday and Wednesday off too=)

Wednesday morning I go to meet with my adviser at Austin Peay State University. In order to turn in my Graduation Application for the fall of this year Volstate needs to know the classes i'm taking in the Spring. Oy...can't believe i'm already getting things sorted for next fall! I finally applied for Austin Peay two weeks ago and sent my transcript to them today. Now I just have to wait to get my new student ID in the mail then I can start filling out scholarship applications...oh joy=/

See this is why i don't share whats going on with me...haha...its BORING!

However, I did work Saturday night...and in case you didn't know I LOVE MY JOB=)=) and this event was unique=) They guests participated in EVERYTHING...they had the LONGEST CONGO LINE you have EVER seen in your life=)=) It was soo great. It was a pretty early night too...made it home by 11:30pm. (so many more fun details i wont even go into...right kailyn??)

within her. This was the moment for which she had waited so long. He gently took her hand, and they turned

But as the minister began to lead Anna and David through their vows, the unthinkable happened. A girl
stood up in the middle of the congregation, walked quietly to the altar, and took David’s other hand. Another girl approached and stood next to the first, followed by another. Soon, a chain of six girls stood by him as he repeated his vows to Anna.
Anna felt her lip beginning to quiver as tears welled up in her eyes. “Is this some kind of joke?” she whispered to David.
“I’m…I’m sorry, Anna,” he said, staring at the floor.
“Who are these girls, David? What is going on?” she gasped.

Hey Hey!

Boy was today a LOOOONG one! But it was very profitable=)

I had classes from 8:00am till 12:10pm...with a TEST in Art Appreciation. I think I aced it=)=) But we shall see soon.

Here is one of the pieces we had to know about...lol

This piece is titled "Fountain" by Marcel Dunchamp. He submitted it to an exhibition that had advertised that no piece of art would be turned away. He was truly testing the definition of "Art" lol.

After classes I met up with some friends to work on my Economics quizzes...yay? We all officially decided we now hate Econ! Then I attended my first Success Networking Team (SNT) meeting. It is basically a group where we get together in a very organized manner and set goals, make commitments, and help each other achieve both. (attendance to these meetings is required for my membership in the National Society of Leadership and Success(NSLS))

Then I got the COOLEST THING on the way home=)=)

A CHALK HOLDER!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Lol except for mine is an awesome turquoise=)

Then when I got home i cleaned my room nearly spotless! And cleaned out an entire laundry basket worth of clothes out of my closet to get rid of. (now i have hangers! lol)

So that has been my day without most of the boring details=)
(well without details in general...there were details that weren't boring too;) lol

...Another way I can relate to Gilgamesh is his mission for a goal. Gilgamesh has a goal of finding eternal life, which is what would have satisfied him. Not only can I relate to this part of the epic, but also most people can relate. We all live life pressing toward a goal. Whether it is graduating high school, graduating college, getting married, owning a house or car, we all have things we desire to satisfy us. Without these goals to press toward what good would life be living? If every day were the same, with no hope of achieving something or changing some circumstance, life would be monotonous and worthless.

But what makes this story relate to me personally is how I feel about one certain goal I would like to attain in my life, though it not my priority. Just like Gilgamesh’s desire for eternal life was unattainable, my specific goal, also, is unattainable. This goal is to be stress free and happy. But as we all know, it is impossible to live stress free. Trials and tribulations will always come. But even if they do not, there are always stressful things such as school and work that will wear on the mind as well.

However, although eternal life was unattainable for Gilgamesh, I have accomplished his goal. Not in the sense that my physical body will live forever, but rather when it does pass on my spirit will live eternally in heaven with the one true God. Gilgamesh was going about his goal the wrong way. He was attempting to seek out his own salvation when it was not within his power to save himself. Though I cannot live a life free of stress and consistently full of happiness, I can look forward to my eternal life in heaven that will be free of pain, tears, sorrow and stress. Therefore, like Gilgamesh’s goal, my goal maybe described as unattainable, however that is only in this lifetime.

The Chic Dining Room where we dined every night.

Each dinner was completed with a starter, main course, dessert and a show.

We were in the late dinner setting at 8:15pm and were usually finished by 10:00pm (i know late huh?)

The Victoriana Lounge where all the big shows took place...usually around 10:30pm...so we were ready for bed by the time we got back to our rooms around midnight.

The Main Lobby of the Carnival Freedom was a truly amazing sight. This photo only shows the 4th and 5th levels (the lobby starts on level 3 and the ceiling extends to level 12, very high ceiling indeed)

A few minutes ago I went outside to walk my dog, and as per routine, I looked up at the sky.

I expected to see a groggy foggy sky, because it has been stormy and nasty all day long, but instead it was clear and clean...I could see hundreds of stars!

And this reminded me of two things.

1. Sometimes God allows us to go through the storm, and struggle, so we can see clearly...or maybe go through the storm to see what we need to get out of our lives so we can be clean.

2. God is like the stars, even when we can't see Him from our position in the storm, He is still there!

Just my thought for the moment...all because the dog had to go, lol.

I got to see a very excited young man get bailed out of jail by his parents this morning....I'm sorry, but all the 'Restricted Area' signs on the way to the jail office made me rightfully paranoid!

Today I had an Amazing Joy!
It is completely fantastic the way God can give you joy in the mist of a trial (stress of school) that weighs you down and just doesn't make you that great of a person to be around.

No matter what we are going through we should be joyful, after all, no matter what happens in this life, Christ has paid the price for all my sins and i'm bound for a place with no pain, or worry=)
