(22)Luck, Ability, or the Hand of God?

No one ever asked so i'll tell you that we won that other game due to forfeit on the other team, they didn't have enough players.

BUT tonight we won due to ability!!!!! Only took two games too....first one was 25 to 23! CLOSE 2nd game was 20 to 25! OY!!!!! I hit the ball to score our winning point!!!! In the process i broke my longest nail off....so i saved it in memory of our first game! Then we went and got ice cream!!!! fun fun fun!

I just had to tell all that really quick......not that anyone actually reads my blog OR COMMENTS!!!!!!!

(20) Logical but not Correct

Hey Girlies!

Faifums......i'm sorry???? I won't be here tomorrow night to call....we are gonna go shopping after we eat (early after Thanksgiving sales) then we are going to go see a movie! I thought we were gonna be home.....hope y'all have fun shopping though!!!!!

For those faithful voters the logical answer was twenty, but you didn't count the ppl i didn't know that were there and of course the employees. So the correct answer was 30. hehe i is sneaky!

Oh and the answer to the other poll was once that i have driven on the highway. :(

g2g.....lots late.....oh and i slept till 11:30 pm today...can you top that? It was sooooo nice!!!!!

Love ya!

(19)Testing..1...2....3

This is a test of the emergency broadcast system...this is ONLY a test!

(18)Windshield Wipers....Life of their own???

Hey peeps!
Tonight we had another volleyball match. We actually won the first game too! 25 to 17....but they won the second one....that forced the third game and they won it 15 to 11...bummer huh? but we still went and had ice cream....and i choked on a piece of ice....which remained lodged in my throat until it melted....lovely huh......

We also played a trick on Justin....we got to Mcdonald's right after him and AJ had gone in , so we checked to see if he locked his suburban...and he dunt!!!!hehe so mom turned on his windshield wipers and his face was hilarious when he turned it on later! Mom later realized that one other thing we should have done was turn the radio all the way up so when he turned it on it would scare him half to death.....we are gonna do that one next time!!!

G2g....i was suppose to be in bed and hour ago...hehe

(16)Friends!

Hiya....sorry it's been so long since i have posted.....i am a busy woman! hehe

Last night we won our FIRST VOLLEYBALL MATCH!!!! 25 to 0 both games! Now ask me how that worked! hehe

Tonight we went to the Red and White game at our church. It's where the women staff play the girls team at volleyball and the men staff play the guys team at basketball. IT WAS AWESOME!! Kailyn, Alaina, Justin, and I sat together and we had a blast. (yes we were sitting on bleachers, and yes my back side is happy to be sitting in a padded chair right now!)

The girls beat the ladies.....but as always year after year.....the men staff won!

Also something really cool happened! Our football team went to the championships this year! They lost by 10 points. Yes we were all so proud of them especially considering that our team has stunk the past couple years. They went so far....had awesome team spirit and all the TACCS gave them was a plack. So....Mr. Wilson had all the team members and coaches gather in the middle of the gym. He told us all what a phenomenal job the guys had done...then he said, " these guys worked so hard, had THE best team spirit, and this is all they got." and he dropped the plack on the table in front of him. Then he said this. " I want to be the first to put in my ten dollars to get these men the trophy they deserve. Who will help em get it?" Then everyone started clapping slowly at first, then a little quicker....all in unison....as many men headed for the table throwing in there ten or twenty dollars. Even some of the kids brought one or two. They then counted it and we had raised almost 2oo dollars to get them a trophy! Cool huh? I just wish something like that would happen with the building fund!

Well me gots to go but read my essay that i wrote for my act prep class.

The question was.....What are three qualities you would want in a good friend?
Hope you enjoy!

.....the format is goobered where i copied and pasted but i guess you get the point!

Friends

Friends can have many different qualities. There are three qualities in a friend that are very important to me for specific reasons. These three qualities that I want in a good friend are trustworthiness, respect, and a desire to serve and please God.

Trust is important in any and every relationship. I want my friend to be trustworthy because I want to know I can trust him with anything. Whether it is something as small as a secret or as big as my life, I know he’d never tell my secret and would save my life if he could. Or if I asked him to do something for me I know he’d get it done.

Respect is also a very important quality. I want my friend to treat adults and people in authority over him in an honorable fashion. In my eyes, if a person shows respect then he himself becomes worthy of my respect and that of others.

Above all, I believe that the sincere desire to serve and please God in every aspect of my friend’s life is the most important. The Bible says in Proverbs 27:17: "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend". Since I want to serve and please God, my close friend, the person I spent a lot of my time with needs to have the same desire because we either sharpen each other or make each other dull.

I am very blessed to have many friends that have these qualities. Sometimes my friends make mistakes and I understand, just as I know they do for me when I mess up. But overall, my friends are the best!

(13)Ka Flu ie!

Hey all,

It is only 9 thirty but since all the girlies are coming at 4 pm so i won't be able to post tonight.

We are gonna have a blast watching movies and playing board games!!! They get to stay till noon tomorrow too!

Well, we lost the game last night and i know i say this every time, but we played a whole lot better this week. I say it every time because we get better every time.....i finally found a word to describe Justin's attitude when we lose. STUBBORN!!! I told him....you have to admit we played a LOT better...and he said..." I'll say we played a lot better when we win".....i called him stubborn to his face and he denys it. hehe We went and got ice cream again in our defeat and it tasted just as good as it would have had we won. haha

The score was game 1: 22 to 25, game 2: 17 to 25........ish....we almost won the first one then our mind power went Ka flu ie!!!!!! ( Just say it like it sounds you'll get the point!)

(12) Great recipe!!

Hey girlies.....at least you all should be girlies!

Today was a bit chilly....ok it was COLD!!!!!! But we went soul winning anyways.....hehe....and as a result there were 11 ppl saved!!! OH YEAH!!!! And i am sooo glad i didn't have to walk up the hill at church after we at. ( Walk up the cold, dark, windy way!) I got to ride with Kailyn's sis Maegan!! Lot faster too!

Faith i couldn't resist telling Alaina and Kailyn that you were coming and we had to tell Ashley that Daniel was gonna be here Sunday b/c Kay said that if we didn't she would prob be mad. hehe The whole Stewart Family is excited now! Is Dan gonna be here Sunday night fer church too? Tell him he needs to!!!

g2g fer now..... oh yeah.....our ladies in our church are making a cookbook to sell for the building fund and asked for recipes. So I sent them this one! hehe

Hey, I though you would enjoy this recipe that has been in my family for years. (my mom makes it the best!)

Elephant Stew

Ingredients

1 medium elephant
brown gravy to cover
salt and pepper
2 rabbits (optional)

Cut the elephant into bit-sized pieces. This should take about 2 months. Add gravy and bake about 4 weeks at 465 degrees. This serves 3,800. If you more people are expected, rabbits may be added, but do this only if necessary, as most people do not like to find hare in their stew.

I wonder what elephant really taste like.......?? hmmmm.....YUCK!!!!!!!!

Talk to ya later!!!

~Rach~

(11) I dunt know you were really coming! I'm inoccent i say!

Faith Marie Sparkman you know i was just kidding about you couldn't come...that was before i knew you were actually coming. And now i am totally bummed because i thought you two were staying all night! You better reconsider! :) Plus i know Alaina and the other girls would love to have you stay...

(9)No Brag, Just Fact

Hey, Well we didn't get to sell cookies today because there was tornado warnings and stuff and TONS of rain. But I went and did the test.....which took me 2 and a half hours with out stopping! It wasn't hard just LONG!!! Lots of questions. There were 5 main subjects with subcatagories in them and the highest you could score outta 4 levels was an A5 whatever that is. AND i got it on all the subjects! ( no brag just fact right brookie?) I do need some work on some sub stuff though, like there were 4 punctuation questions and i only got one right! Ick....

I messed up my elbow last night.....I hurt it by running in to my wall.( don't laugh it hurts!) I was walking down my hallway and i was scratching my head or something so my arm was up. There is this little part of my wall that sticks out and BAM! I hit it hard!

(8)A Few Words from a Nonbusy Day

Boy today was fun...cold...but fun! We had our regular bus route to run and our regular Sunday school class and our regular church service but something was just exciting about today! Idk what it was. I guess it could've been everyone's joyful spirits as all the little kids ran around selling candy to make their little dollars grow. Boy i got suckered in too! Maggie, Jesse's little sister was selling some candy for 25 cents and i heard when someone told her they didn't want any she brought the price down to 10 cents....she was a cute little dickerer too! ( I know that ain't a word. )

Today was also the Sunday where we took our building by faith commitments. I don't know exactly what this amount means as far as if it is what we will have in a yr from the commitments or what we have so far or what but the figure was around half a million....and the great news is we don't have to have it all before we begin construction. Hopefully, with lots of prayer that will be REALLY SOON! :)

Well.....tomorrow i head to THE college...fun fun...i m not really that nervous because it is just me, not a bunch of kids. After we get done there we are gonna go meet my papa in rivergate and then go to his house. He lives in Old Hickory Village which is where a lot of senior citizens live. Mom and i made some cookies and jewelry and we are gonna go door to door and try to sell some stuff thata way.

I was trying to sell some angel earrings at church tonight and i went up to Jacob Bien and Dusty and asked em if they wanted to buy em for their mom's for Christmas.....I was desperate.....or anxious to make a sale...either will do.

I am sOOOOO excited about the slumber party Fri....AND i might get to go on a shopping trip with Kailyn and Alaina Saturday because they won the trip in their SS class....which i also won last year when i was in that class but didn't get to go for one reason or another so ms. Tammy said i could go....mom said it depends on what we get done this week......but it wasn't a no!!! hehe

I think that is all i can think of for a none busy day......Thanks to all youns that have been commenting i love reading em!!!

Love ya!

(7) Go My Mom!! ( For oking the Par-Ta!!!)

Well, I am officially REALLY excited!!!!!! So i guess you would like me to tell you why right?
Alaina, Kailyn, and I conjured up a very brilliant plan, which actually worked too! Alaina's 15th birthday is the 12th of this month and she wasn't planning on having a birthday party...but we thought of several reasons why she should. We thought about planning a movie night sleepover at my house...and both mine and Alaina's parents approved it!!!! YEAH so we are having it Friday.....i am soo excited....no faith you cannot come mom said the 6 girls we are planning to have is more than enough! hehe.....So i have something happening everyday this week...
Sunday: Church of course
Monday: Assessment thingy at the college
Tuesday: Volleyball Practice (yeah..FUN!!!)
Wednesday: Teen Soul winning and Church
Thursday: Volleyball Game (pray we win please! hehe)
Friday: SLEEP OVER!!!!
Saturday: Kinda counts as sleep over too!

And...Monday morning i am babysitting 4 little girls all under age 2....yes i know this will be interesting! I am watching them here though so if i have to call mom in as back up i can. Yep.

Gotta go...still trying to figure out stuff on my IPod....I should be able to put movies on it according to everything said in the manual and stuff...but it ain't wanting to work with me here!

Love ya ppls!

(6)I'm getting old too fast!

Hey ppls! Sorry it's been so long since i have blogged. My mom set a new curfew for me to be in bed....i was staying up til midnight almost every night and dog tired every morning. 10pm. That is why i haven't had time cause i usually get on around 9 and that didn't leave enough time.

Today we went to my sister's college and signed me up for my ACT prep class. This one is diff though. They are going to give me an assessment quiz this Monday which tells them my strong and weak points then they enter my scores into a program that makes a prep class especially for me! With this ACT prep i will be ready to get the highest score possible that way i can get a scholarship or something. We also discovered that if i dual enroll this prep thingy will only cost up $20. Cool huh. My first ACT test will be Feb. 9th and I have another one i will take in April. THIS IS GETTING SCARY!!! The ACT is one step closer to COLLEGE!!!!!!!!!!! Pray deeply fer me please!

After we got done at the school we went to Kohl's to spend our $25 gift cards we got for our birthdays! I got a really cute shirt that has a hood but is nice enough to wear to church. And i got 2 pairs of knee high socks! CUTE!! I still have $ left on it too!

Oh and Today is my cousin Tyler's birthday! Happy 17th!

I have so much more to say but my time is up!

Comment i would love to hear from you!

Love
~Rach~!!!

I Have Been Blessed!!!!

THE ROOM

In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room.
There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endless in either direction, had very different headings. As I drew near the wall of files, the first to
catch my attention was one that read "Girls I have liked." I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one. And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was.

This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my memory couldn't match. A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.

A file named "Friends" was next to one marked "Friends I have betrayed." The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird "Books I Have Read," "Lies I Have Told," "Comfort I have Given," "Jokes I Have Laughed at." Some
were almost hilarious in their exactness: "Things I've yelled at my brothers." Others I couldn't laugh at: "Things I Have Done in My Anger", "Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents." I never ceased to be surprised by the contents.

Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth.
Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature.

When I pulled out the file marked "TV Shows I have watched", I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the vast time I knew that file represented.

When I came to a file marked "Lustful Thoughts," I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content.

I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An almost animal rage broke on me. One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!" In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it
and burn the cards. But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it.

Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh.

And then I saw it. The title bore "People I Have Shared the Gospel With." The handle was brighter than those around it, newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.

And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this
room. I must lock it up and hide the key. But then as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him.

No, please not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw
a sorrow deeper than my own.

He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes. Why did He have to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and began to cry again.
He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said so many things. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.

Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card. "No!" I shouted rushing to Him. All I could find to say was "No, no," as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, so alive. The name
of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He gently took the card back. He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the cards. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side.

He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, "It is finished." I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door. There were still cards to be written.
